2024 Parrish Little League Division Descriptions
BASEBALL
Co-Ed Tee Ball
The Tee-ball division is for kids League Age 4–6 WITH or WITHOUT a season of Tee Ball experience.
Tee Ball is the introduction to baseball with an emphasis on beginner skills development mixed with fun. There are no scores or standings kept for this division. There are no tryouts for this division. Teams will be assigned by the league’s Player Agent.
AA Minor Baseball
The AA Minor Baseball division is for kids League Age 6-9. Players League Age 6 must have played a previous season of Tee Ball.
The AA Minor Baseball division introduces an automated machine to pitch to batters and will place an emphasis position player development and continued development of the basic skills. There are no scores or standings kept for this division. There are no tryouts for this division. Teams will be assigned by the league’s Player Agent.
AAA Minor Baseball
The AAA Minor Baseball division is for kids League Age 7-11. Players League Age 7 must have played two seasons of AA baseball.
The AAA Minor Baseball division is the introduction to player pitching with a continued emphasis on player development. Scores and standings are kept. Player evaluations are required for this division and players are placed on teams via the draft process. Players League Age 9 and under who are not selected for this division will be drafted to the AA Minor division. Teams will be assigned by the league’s Player Agent. Players in this division may be eligible for an All-Star team.
Majors Baseball
The Major Baseball division is for kids League Age 9-12.
The Major Baseball division is considered the most competitive division for the eligible age group. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet. Scores and standings are kept. Player evaluations are required for all players League Age 9 and up, and for any new player. Players League Age 9 and under that tryout and are not selected for this division will be drafted in the Minors Division. Returning players will be placed on the same team as the previous season. Players in this division may be eligible for an All-Star team.
Juniors Baseball
The Junior Baseball division is for kids League Age 13-14.
The Junior Baseball division is considered the most competitive division for the eligible age group. The diamond used is a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet 6 inches. Scores and standings are kept. Player evaluations are required for all new players. Returning players will be placed on the same team as the previous season. Players in this division may be eligible for an All-Star team. This division typically starts later than the younger divisions and involves travel to other league parks.
SOFTBALL
AA Minor Softball
The AA Minor Softball division is for girls League Age 6-9. Players League Age 6 must have played a previous season of tee ball.
