Scorekeeping class

Parrish will host an evening of learning about the term, 'keeping the book', commonly known as being a scorekeeper for baseball and/or softball.  Learn the basics of what's needed to be recorded in a score book for Little League games - if you're a novice - that's okay, we all were at some point!  If you're rusty - that's okay - some of us fit that category, too.  If you've done it a few times and just want a few pointers - it's a collaborative effort - let's see what we can share!

Date:  Monday, April 2, 2018
Time:  6 PM
Where:  Upstairs room (with tables and chairs) above field house
What to bring:  There will be 'take with you' materials - a writing utensil is helpful - especially if you are a note taker!

How long is the class?  Usually it takes about an hour to go over information and 'show and tell'.  Feel free to stay as long as you have time - after going over materials - we usually have a few seasoned people there to address questions.

What's the benefit?  You get to sit in a booth on fields 1, 2 or 90 foot diamond so not only is there a great view, but you're out of the weather as well, a concession stand beverage, and the appreciation of a team manager, team parents and board members for your willingness to volunteer.

Little League is based on capturing the volunteer spirit - will you catch it too?
